Candy Crush Dance Knight: All the Details!

The PTA is very excited about Friday’s dance. It’ll be a fun night to burn off some energy and spend time with our community. Everything you need to know is below. If you have any questions, please email PTA President Yanira Gordon at yaniragordon@hotmail.com.

Time and Place:
Friday, January 19 at MPS from 6-8pm.
• Please enter through the cafeteria/gym front doors (to the left of the main doors).
• Based on the large RSVP list, we are currently planning to set up the candy bar, photo booth and the actual dance in multiple rooms to allow space for everyone to have a good time without being crowded. All activities will be in the gym, cafeteria, and activity room. Don’t worry, our volunteers at the ticket table will tell you where to go!
• THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF EVENT.

Cost:
$5 per person (cash or check made payable to MPS/MES PTA)
• Please try to have exact change so we can get everyone dancing as quickly as possible.
• Children under 2 years old are FREE!
• Each person will receive a white tear-off ticket. This ticket will allow ONE trip to the candy bar.

Parking:
Please park in the MPS spaces or the rear playground lot. If needed, the Middletown Activities building can be used for overflow parking. Please note that the Middletown Fire Company is setting up for their annual banquet on Saturday so please do not park in a space that could block an entrance to the activities building.

What to Expect:
• The Dee Buchanan Studio of Dance dancers will kick off the dance with a hip-hop routine at 6:30pm.
• DJ Jack will be on the stage playing kid-friendly tunes. He will take requests as long as the songs are kid-friendly.
• The candy at the candy bar was selected from the Safe Snack Guide, but please use caution if you have a child with allergies. You can visit the candy bar at any time during the two hours. Goodie bags will be available if you want to take home the treats.
• There will be water/cups and trash cans set up next to the candy bar.
• The photo booth is Candy Crush themed and will have candy props for the kids to use to take their photos. The photo booth is self-served – you must take your own photos or ask the volunteer to take one for you.
• Chairs will be placed around the dance if you need to rest your toes.
• We will do a call for last dance before the night ends at 8pm.

BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR FAVORITE CANDY COLORS!
