Yearbook Photos Needed

The PTA needs parent volunteers to cover school and PTA events for the school yearbook.

To help get parents started, PTA is offering a photography session that will cover the basics of photography, as well as simple tips for photographing students in candid settings.

The goal of this session is to get parents familiar with the basics of photography so they attend school events as volunteer photographers. Participants will learn the basics of photographic technology, exposure, metering, film speed (ISO), white balance, composition, framing, and shooting in candid environments. The session will consist of an information sharing followed by hands on time with your camera. Kids are welcome to attend to use for photography practice.

Personal cameras are not required. Suggested supplies include: DSLR camera (can be camera, point-and-shoot, or even cell phone camera), flash, lenses of choice.

Parents who participate will be encouraged to volunteer as parent photographers, but are not obligated to volunteer for anything.

Join us on Thursday, January 26th, 6:30PM-8:00PM at the MPS Media Center.
