The PTA is proud to announce that we will be hosting our first ever
Family Magic Night and Basket Silent Auction and Raffle.
This event will be held on Friday, October 4th from 6-8 pm.
All proceeds will benefit our Cultural Arts programs at MPS and MES.
When you arrive at 6 pm on the night of the event, you can start viewing the baskets right away! Smaller baskets will be won through raffles (tickets will be $1 each), while larger baskets will be won through silent auctions. The baskets will be located across from the Media Center. You can fill out this form and send it in with your child to have your raffle tickets waiting for you at will call. PTA members by the night of the event will receive two free raffle tickets!
Baskets will be created from donations from our students. Each grade (Kindergarten-5th) has been assigned a theme. To see more ideas about what you can send in for your child's theme, please click here. Teachers will collect the donations in boxes that will be available for each grade, and boxes will be collected every few days by a volunteer and stored until we assemble the baskets.
Inside the cafeteria we will also be offering desserts for $.50/item. We are asking that parents bake or buy nut-free treats and individually wrap them for sale at our event. You can sign up here to donate food.
Our Magic Show will begin at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria, and will last approximately 45 minutes. Though the show is free, you will need to get a ticket at a table outside of the cafeteria to ensure you have a seat, because seating will be limited to 450 people. If you volunteer at this event, you will also have guaranteed seating for you and your immediate family.
All of the raffles and silent auctions will be called at 7:45. You do not need to be present to win. Each family will be assigned a number, and that number will be written on the back of your raffle ticket, so that we know how to contact you when you win. Brilliant!
We are really looking forward to a fun night will all of our MPS and MES families. You asked for more family events in last year's PTA survey, and we are trying our best to do that.
