Last Call for Box Tops!

1st collection deadline is Wednesday, October 18th

Box Tops are worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our schools! With your help, each school can receive thousands of dollars! Check out these simple steps for collecting and submitting box tops.

Contest Details
We will have two collection contests at both MES and MPS this year. Please send in those box tops throughout the year and give to your child's teacher. The class for each grade that turns in the most box tops will receive a classroom celebration!

Important things to check before turning in Box Tops:

  • Make sure they are not expired! We cannot accept Box Tops with an expiration date before 11/1/17 for the first collection period.
  • Please cut box tops from packages, trimming to the dotted border.
  • To be valid, every box top must have both the expiration date and product acronym visible (usually a 3- or 4- letter code in the upper left corner) so please be careful when you clip.
  • Please group box tops into quantities of 50. Use the collection sheet provided to your child. Or you can submit your box tops in a bag or envelope. Okay to submit less than 50, just note the total number you are submitting. This will help our coordinators greatly with the counting and sorting!
  • Please note: Bonus Certificates must be submitted separately. Please do not include these in your count with regular Box Tops.

The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to MPS the week of October 16!

We need several volunteers to help the students chose and purchase books, and other items. Thank you for any time you can give to this fun program!

Interested in volunteering at MES?

Please attend our volunteer training session being held Friday, September 22 at 9:30am in the Knight's Corner.

Discussion will include signing in/out procedures, school safety procedures, confidentiality and use of school electronic equipment (as needed).

If you are unable to attend this meeting, please make sure a confidentiality agreement is signed before entering classrooms to volunteer. This form will be located in the front office. (This form will be mandatory for all classroom volunteers!!) It can be turned in to your classroom teacher or to the front office.

PTA General Meeting

SAVE THE DATE - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13!

The Middletown Primary/Elementary PTA cordially invites you to the kick off the General Membership meeting of the 2017-2018 school year!

Join us to become informed of what your PTA has planned for this year, meet your PTA leaders, vote on the PTA budget and find out ways you can get involved. We will begin at 6:30 PM in the Media Center at MPS. Children are welcome. Memberships ($10) will be available for purchase.

MPS New Family Orientation

Save the date for MPS's New Family Orientation night!

Thursday, Aug. 10 at 6:30 pm in the MPS Media Center
  • Meet the administrative staff
  • Tour the school
  • Learn about common routines and procedures
  • Have an opportunity to join our wonderful PTA
  • Ask questions about MPS
  • Pick up your child's classroom assignment and staggered start date (Kindergarten)

*THIS SESSION IS INTENDED FOR ADULTS ONLY

There will be an OPEN HOUSE, Thursday, Aug. 31 from 4-6 pm where children are welcome.

  • Pick up important paperwork
  • Drop off classroom supplies
